What is Human Formation?
Based on the teachings of St. John Paul II, the Catholic Church recognizes four essential areas of formation for the whole person: Human, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Pastoral/Apostolic.
A Catholic Life Coach is specially trained in the area of Human Formation, which includes growth in self-knowledge, emotional maturity, a well-formed conscience, balance in life, and healthy relationships—all helping you become more fully conformed to Christ.
In today's world, with its many distractions and challenges, solid Human Formation is more important than ever for individuals and families who are striving to live their faith. A Catholic Life Coach fosters this formation through goal setting, encouragement, and accountability.
In addition to being a Certified Catholic Coach, Grace, is a dentist specializing in periodontics and continues to practice on a limited basis. Earlier in her career, she maintained a private practice in the Washington, DC area and served for many years as an instructor at the University of Maryland Dental School.
Grace's husband, Eric, is also a dentist, and they met and were married while attending dental school. Together, they have been blessed with seven children and two grandchildren. Grace homeschooled their children for 25 years using the Mother of Divine Grace curriculum, and continues to homeschool their youngest.
Today, three of their sons are priests for the Archdiocese of Washington, one daughter is a religious sister with the Nashville Dominicans, one married daughter is a nurse practitioner in Maryland, and one son is a student at Franciscan University. Their youngest daughter is a child with Down Syndrome who was adopted from Ukraine as an infant.
Because of the wisdom she has gained through life's ups and downs, Grace has naturally mentored and walked alongside women and families for many years. Recognizing the need to provide practical strategies for those who are feeling stuck and discouraged, she pursued training and certification through the highly respected Metanoia Catholic Coaching program. Through her gentle and compassionate approach, Grace offers hope to those she serves and equips them with life-changing skills to grow in holiness.
Beyond coaching certification, Grace is:
